The principle of a magnetic head is illustrated in FIG. 8(A). A magnetic head with a winding 101 on a bobbin 102 comprises a bottom pole 103, the bobbin 102 is welded to a back plate 104, and a coil 101' wound on the bobbin 102 is connected to a terminal part 104a of the back plate 104. FIG. 8(B) shows the construction of the bottom pole 103. As illustrated in the drawing, the bottom pole 103 has an approximately trapezoidal cross section, and is formed by laminating magnetic layers 105, which are formed by sputtering, electrodeposition, or plating, on the sides of a core piece 106 having a trapezoidal cross section. As illustrated in FIG. 8(B), the magnetic layers 105 are formed by precisely placing the core piece 106, which has a cross section of approximately the same shape as that of the bottom pole 103 to be formed, on a base plate 107 of a trapezoidal shape, and then laminating the magnetic layers 105 to the base plate 107. The base plate 107 is formed by plating a core wire 109 with nickel (Ni) or the like, and then hot rolling or the like to form a trapezoidal cross section. In the bottom pole 103 formed by laminating the magnetic layers 105 on the core piece 106, which has a trapezoidal cross section, as described above, the width "w" of the magnetic layers 105 in the direction of the thickness of the core piece 106 becomes larger than the thickness "t" of the core piece 106 in the direction of the thickness thereof. Therefore, the thickness "t" of the core piece 106 becomes smaller than the width "w" of the magnetic layers 105, so that the bottom pole 103 is formed in an approximately trapezoidal cross section as illustrated in FIG. 8(B). In the bottom pole 103, magnetic flux enters from the outside of the core piece 106, which is formed by hot rolling or the like, through the magnetic layers 105, but the amount of magnetic flux entering from one side of the trapezoidal core piece 106 is less f30f4ceada
